Volunteer ServicesIn 1978, Hospice of the Bluegrass began with a group of volunteers. Today, volunteers remain at the heart of hospice. In 2010 Hospice of the Bluegrass had over 950 volunteers contribute over 34,000 hours of volunteer service. There is an opportunity for everyone at Hospice of the Bluegrass. Hospice volunteers can give as little or as much time as they wish. Some volunteers donate several hours each week while others commit to a few hours each month. Many Hospice volunteers prefer to offer one-time services on an as needed basis. All volunteers will have the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one interview with the Coordinator of Volunteer Services to discuss their interests and availability. Hospice of the Bluegrass welcomes all levels of commitment and will work hard to meet your needs as a volunteer. If you would like to find out more about how to become a hospice volunteer, please contact the Coordinator of Volunteer Services in the Hospice of the Bluegrass office nearest you:
