Research Committee

Hospice of the Bluegrass (HOB) supports research that directly relates to improved services and improved quality of life for our patients and family members. We offer patients and their families the opportunity to participate in research that has the potential to improve care at the end of life and to benefit others. Patient confidentiality is always respected at HOB.

The Hospice of the Bluegrass Research Committee (HBRC) is dedicated to enhancing the knowledge base of palliative care through studies of symptom management, psychosocial and spiritual needs of patients and families with advanced, life-limiting illnesses.

The goal of the HBRC is to facilitate the design and implementation of research protocols in these areas and to provide review of scientific and human subjects concerns, and ethical appropriateness.

If you are interested in submitting a research proposal please contact Suzanne Leibee at (859) 276-4404 ext. 66871.
