About Extra Care

Extra Care is a private duty nursing service that provides 24-hour private duty nursing care, seven days a week for clients in their home, nursing home or assisted living facility. Extra Care Private Duty Nursing includes skilled in home nursing care provided by RN's and LPN's, and non-medical services for people provided by CNA's who need help with activities of daily living due to problems of aging, chronic conditions or disabilities. In home, nursing home, and assisted living services are tailored to meet individual and family needs and can also include homemakers, companions, and sitters.

Our Staff Includes:

  • RN's and LPN's providing skilled nursing services in home

  • CNA's providing assistance in the home with activities of daily living, transportation, shopping or errands, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, recording vital signs and intake and output, transitioning patient from hospital to home.

  • Homemakers/Companions performing other tasks, as needed to enable the patient to remain at home.

Financial Considerations:

Home care is provided on a fee for service, hourly basis with a four-hour minimum. Service can be one-time or ongoing 24 hours, seven days a week. You assume responsibility for the cost of care. Some private insurance may cover private duty care. The Extra Care staff will assist you in determining your specific home care needs and help evaluate your policy and plan benefits.

Extra Care services are available to non-hospice patients and hospice patients. A physician's order is not required to receive service.
